The 1st Saitama International Music Competition (JAPAN)
2. Purpose
The Saitama International Music Competition will be held in 2022 as Saitama Prefecture’s first international music competition with a completely online judging system. We would like to discover excellent musicians from all over the world, introduce them to the public, share the desire to pursue dreams with children, and share the joy of playing music, which will lead to personal growth. The Saitama Music Festival, which will be held in August 2023, aims to deepen international exchanges among the winners and contribute to the development of local music culture.

4. Instrument・Form
・Keyboard instruments (piano, four-hands)
・Vocal music (solo, chorus)
・String instruments (violin, viola, cello, contrabass, classical guitar, etc.)
・Woodwind instruments (flute, piccolo, oboe, clarinet, bassoon, saxophone, etc.)
・Brass instruments (trumpet, horn, trombone, euphonium, tuba, etc.)
・Plucked string instruments (harp, Irish harp, arpa, mandolin, erhu, etc.)
・Percussion instruments (marimba, xylophone, etc.)
・Aerophone (ocarina, recorder, harmonica, accordion, bandoneon, etc.)
・Chamber music (duo, trio, quartet, etc. any combination)
